Project Description

This corpus contains English audio recordings and transcripts from 20 Mizo-English bilingual participants, aged 16-18. The narratives were elicited using the English and Mizo versions of the Multilingual Assessment Instrument for Narratives (MAIN), a tool for assessing narrative production and comprehension in bi-/multilingual learners. Data collection was conducted offline during the COVID-19 pandemic, using the English version developed by Gagarina et al (2012, 2020) and a Mizo adaptation of MAIN developed by Hnialum, H., Raman, M.G., & Venpuia, V.
